We offer both initial CCW and refresher CCW training and qualifications classes. The initial CCW training is 16 hours long and the refresher CCW training is eight (8) hours long. Courses include both classroom and range components and a state mandated written exam. Our courses are certified for the following counties: Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo
Please be aware that there are now state restrictions on who my apply for and receive a permit. The requirements are listed in Calif Penal Code 26202.

This NRA basic handgun course is designed for persons who have minimal to no experience handling a firearm, and are considering the purchase of a handgun. Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, handgun storage, shooting fundamentals, handgun inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. This class will conclude with discussing the selection of a handgun.
This course does not include any range time.

This basic handgun course is designed for persons who have no or limited handgun experience. The goal of this class is to increase your knowledge and comfort level. This class will focus on proper handgun safety; handgun handling, storage, and transportation; handgun maintenance and cleaning; and the fundamentals of shooting. This class will also discuss the selection of a handgun.

This handgun course is for students who currently hold a CCW permit or have been through a basic pistol course and want to transition to a higher level of training.
This course is considered the first in a series developing the students skill set to rapidly draw and accurately fire their weapon.
This course will focus on the introduction of proper stance, draw and rapid / accurate shot placement on target using an outside waistband (exposed) holster.
Safety is always our primary consideration during training.

This course will focus on the introduction of proper stance, draw and rapid / accurate multiple shot placement on target using an inside the waistband (concealed) holster.

This course is considered the third in a series developing the students skill set to rapidly draw and accurately fire their weapon.
This course will focus on the introduction of proper stance, draw and rapid / accurate placement of multiple shots on multiple targets, with the introduction of movement.
The student is expected to be using an inside waistband (concealed) holster.

This class will introduce the student to: how light affects the human eye; lighting principles; nine different techniques of using a handheld flashlight and guide the student to the selection of two or three techniques that work best for themselves.
This class is held during the evening. Students will be using independent flashlight techniques and optional weapon mounted lights. We emphasize safety while balancing speed and accuracy.
Prerequisite: Possession of a CCW or successful completion of a level 2 handgun course from BAFT or equivalent from a BAFT recognized school. Current LE/MIL exempt.

This intensive one-day course covers the primary skills involved in fighting with a shotgun. This course will focus on safety and effective gun-handling techniques designed to work under stress.

I am excited to announce I am now a byrna less lethal authorized dealer (https://byrna.com/ ). Additionally, I attended their law enforcement instructor course and as a result I am also now a certified “bryna Law Enforcement Instructor”.
Course will include:1) applicable laws regarding the use of the less lethal weapons, 2) instruction on the use of byrna products, 3) product demonstration, and 4) hands on use of CL launcher.
