Level 2 Handgun Safety
This class is designed for individuals who have a basic understanding of firearms and desire to increase their knowledge.
Prerequisite: handgun ownership.
Goals
These classes are designed for individuals who posses a CCW permit or have been through a basic pistol course. This is an introductory class to introduce and develop proper handgun skills and is a building block to a more advanced level of training. Upon completion you will have a solid understanding/foundation in firearms safety, effective handgun presentation and basic marksmanship skills.
The skills learned here will allow you to transition the our Handgun III class.
Subjects covered include:
- Handgun and range safety. 
- Introduction to a solid shooting platform, including benefit of both lower and upper body positioning. 
- Introduction of safe and efficient handgun presentation using an exposed belt holster, using either an appendix, inside the waistband or outside the belt holster. (not from concealment). 
- Introduction to one handed shooting 
- Introduction to reloading drills 
- Introduction to target engagement at speed 
- Varied distance shooting from 1- 10 yards 
Equipment Needed
- Cleaned and Oiled Handgun 
- 250 rounds of factory range ammunition 
- Leather gun belt (or other appropriate material) 
- Leather or kydex (strong –side) outside the belt or inside the waistband Holster Note: the holster MUST cover the trigger and trigger guard. 
- Magazine pouch 
- Three or more magazines 
- Ear Protection (preferable electronic) 
- Eye Protection
